Collaboration with The Quinlan Research Lab at Christopher Newport University

College is its own kind of research project. You arrive with a hypothesis about who you are, then through trial, error, and a few spontaneous reactions you’ve got something closer to a result. This is a lot like the Quinlan Lab’s research on phytochemicals. Science reminds us that the smallest compounds often hold the most interesting properties, whether it is alpha acids contributing to bitterness or wheat providing fermentable sugars. The same is true for the people doing the discovering.
