There once was an ancient society of alchemist-brewers, known as the Eternal Order of Madfellows, who sought to create an elixir of fortune. It is believed that this group was the first to add exaggerated amounts of hops to their formulas in an effort to preserve their special brews, simultaneously and fortuitously adding aroma and flavor to their concoctions. We brew this beer to honor the Madfellows who sacrificed so many hops on the altar of luck.
