Old Crotchety Rye

This delightful and unique brew is brought to you by one of our beloved beertenders, Woody. He had a vision to bring forth a historical style of beer using mostly rye malt called a Roggenbier. This style is notoriously difficult, or shall we say crotchety, to brew because of the sticky textural nature of the grain, but Woody and Kevin rose to the occasion. Old Crotchety Rye starts out with a soft maltiness and toasty caramel nuance, leading to a light rye spice and herbaceous undertones.
